Reconditioning an auto battery eliminates the sulfate from the plates so it can run a lot more efficiently. It does not restore the stamina of the battery to 100%, yet it does come close. The lead sulfate that has solidified and crystallized, which can't be gotten rid of by charging, can be eliminated by an additional process, called desulfation. T
